happy girls are the prettiest. - audrey hepburn.

The rain in Long Beach finally subsided sometime this afternoon, only to lead to Southern California humidity, which actually just means that you're really warm yet your nose will not stop running.

I have been trying to keep up with this blog more lately. although i know there are a total of 2, MAYBE 3 of you out there reading this (hello to Cart, Jane and Tiff!!)

Today ended up being a really amazing day. After not being able to sleep well last night, due to the two cups of coffee that i consumed while hanging out with my dear friend jessica fife (add to that coffee: baileys.) I thought that today was going to be a sad. no good. dreary day. turns out, i was very wrong.

i got off work a bit later than usual, because we were very busy. (which also means, YAY MONEY!) and i'd completely forgotten that i'd scheduled a facial for myself today, i haven't had any time for me in the past couple months so i instantly became excited! plus, it was free (except for tip) thanks to the wonders of my esthetician Shannon Marie. after an hour of complete relaxation (aside from the 10 minute of pain when the extraction time came around, eek) i headed home to take a long hot shower and got a text from Mclean (future roomie extraordinaire) to meet up with her at our favorite thai restaurant in LB. i hopped on down there, ate some tasty curry, noodles and coconut soup along with a glass of cold Singha beer. a def fav.

our fellow ladyfriend leslie met up with us. we talked about missing our boyfriends terribly right now. they are both working on a movie day in and day out. we're talking 16 hour days. 6 days a week. the poor tired boys. i hate being selfish, but i am missing his cute face oh so much. i am also, SO proud and excited for him at this opportunity. can't wait to see his handywork.

the night was rounded out by a fun trip meandering the aisles of target with leslie. who cracked me up at every turn. i acquired a new set of warm and cuddly flannel sheets. 5 pairs of unders. one skirt (both on clearance for less that $5) two apple cinnamon candles, with a matching spray. Yum. plus of course, the necessities.

i am currently curled up on my couch with (DECAF) coffee and baileys (i'm hooked) with the sweet pup curled up next to me. watching 'how i met your mother'

end to the perfect day. and tomorrow will include dinner with my awesome pal, charlie. then karaoke at the gay bar. no problem there.

love and miss the 3 of you reading this!
